Riding on the second wave, new COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh has been seeing a sharp rise in recent days. In the last 24 hours, 11,766 fresh coronavirus cases were registered and 38 persons have succumbed to the pandemic in Andhra Pradesh. Currently, there are 74,231 active cases, with more than 9.27 lakh covid patients having been discharged from various hospitals.
In Telangana state, 6,206 new positive cases and 29 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours. Active cases in Telangana are 3.79 lakh. More positive cases are surfacing in the second wave of the pandemic.
