Telangana assembly speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has tested positive for covid-19 virus. He is currently admitted in Gachibowli AIG hospital and is undergoing treatment.
The Speaker had undergone the covid test as part of regular health checks on Wednesday evening. Though, there are no symptoms and any health complications, as per the doctors recommendations, he has been admitted into the hospital.
Pocharam pariticipated in the wedding of his granddaughter three days ago which was attended by the Chief Ministers of both the Telugu states K Chandrasekhar Rao and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, ministers, MLAs and other officials. All those who attended the wedding were asked to move into quarantine.
