Bollywood Bhai Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan, helmed by Kabir Khan collected over Rs 300 crore at the box office, and is among the top five grossers among Hindi films. Harshali Malhotra and Nawazuddin Siddiqui played key roles in Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
On Sunday, Salman Khan has now officially announced the sequel for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, during an event to promote ‘RRR’. Salman, who recently returned from the Da-Bangg tour in Riyadh, joined SS Rajamouli, Ram Charan, Jr NTR and B town actress Alia Bhatt at the RRR event in Mumbai. On this special occasion, Salman Khan took the chance to announce Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2, which will again be written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, the father of SS Rajamouli.
‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ tells the story of a simple-minded Hanuman devotee, Pawan, who crosses path with a mute girl, Munni, from Pakistan after she strays accidently into India. Rest of the story of the much-loved blockbuster revolves around Pawan’s, also known as Bajrangi, attempts to unite the child, played by Harshali Malhotra, with her parents across the border.
