Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar today met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the former's residence in New Delhi. Mr Pawar, who sought an appointment with PM Modi, got one for this morning.
“Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sharad Pawar met PM Narendra Modi,” the Prime Minister’s Office tweeted, along with a photo of the two leaders.
Following the meeting, Pawar, in a tweet, said, “Met the Hon. Prime Minister of our country Shri Narendra Modi. Had a discussion on various issues of national interest.”
During the meeting which lasted for about 50 minutes, the veteran politician raised concerns about the newly-formed Ministry of Cooperation and farmers' issues, sources in the NCP said.
