Siddhu Jonnalagadda, who rose to fame with Guntur Talkies and Krishna and his Leela joined hands with prestigious Sithara Entertainments for the remake of Acclaimed Malayalam romantic thriller Kappela. Siddhu is reprising Sreenath Bhasi's role, while Arjun Das of Kaithi and Master fame will step into the shoes of Roshan Mathew. The makers are yet to finalise the female lead of the film.
The film was launched on Wednesday with a customary pooja ceremony in Hyderabad. Director Trivikram Srinivas graced the launch event and sounded the clapboard. Announcing the project’s launch, Sithara Entertainments tweeted, “Sithara Entertainments #ProductionNo9 featuring @Siddu_buoy & @iam_arjundas has formally launched today with a pooja ceremony. Our Darling Director #Trivikram garu graced the event & blessed the team!”
Kappela tells the story of a naive happy-go-lucky girl who falls in love with an autorickshaw driver. The project is being directed by Shourie Chandrasekhar T Ramesh and Sweekar Agasthi is composing the music. The regular shooting will begin soon.
