Jyothula Nehru quits as TDP state vice president


In a major setback to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu, Former Jaggampeta MLA Jyothula Nehru tendered his resignation as TDP State Vice-President to express his dissatisfaction with the party supremo's decision to boycott the MPTC / ZPTC polls.

Speaking to the media, Jyothula Nehru said that in a recently conducted meeting he made it clear that TDP should contest in the Parishad elections. He added that boycotting the elections will weaken the party in the state and therefore he resigned as TDP vice-president. He further added that he will not quit the party. It is known that TDP boycotting the Parishad elections.
