The most awaited sequel of Vishnu Manchu and director Sreenu Vaitla Dhee has been officially announced after 13 years. Titled D & D, the film is jointly bankrolled by Vishnu Manchu’s own production house Avaram Bhakta Manchu and 24 Frames Factory and is expected to go on the floors very soon.
The latest news is that Jathi Ratnalu fame Faria Abdullah has been roped in as the female lead in D & D opposite Manchu Vishnu. Faria liked the script very much and she signed the project immediately after hearing the narration.
"Both Vaitla and Vishnu are looking for a fresh face and chanced upon Faria for the female lead's role. They were impressed by her performance in Jathi Ratnalu and approached her. She is pleased with her role and the story of the film and felt it would be an ideal project after her debut film. She gave her nod, but is yet to sign the dotted line," says a source close to the development.
