Veteran Bollywood actor and Bengal BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty is celebrating his Birthday today. The 71-year-old Mithun's birthday has got off to an unfortunate start as he was questioned by the Kolkata Police on Wednesday in connection with his controversial remarks during West Bengal assembly polls campaign.
Chakraborty was questioned virtually after an FIR was registered in Maniktala alleging that he made controversial statement “maarbo ekhane lash porbe soshane” and “ek chobole chobi” during an election rally at the Brigade Parade Grounds on March 7 in presence of PM Narendra Modi.
It was also alleged that the actor's utterances were a cause for post-poll violence in the state.
