Popular Telugu anchor and Actor Pradeep Machiraju lands himself in another controversy over his comments on Andhra Pradesh capital. In a television show, Pradeep has reportedly stated that Visakhapatnam is the capital of AP. He added that the Amaravati JAC has been staging a protest for the last 551 days opposing three capitals for the state.
Reacting to his statement, Amaravati JAC leader Srinivasa Rao demanded anchor Pradeep to withdraw his words by noon on Monday (June 21).
‘The matter of AP capital is in court. How to talk about such a thing on TV shows. His remarks should be withdrawn immediately. Farmers and people in Amravati have been fighting for the capital for a long time. Pradeep called Visakhapatnam the capital so as not to hurt their sentiments. He should immediately apologize for this. Otherwise, we will raid his house in Hyderabad today, ”Kolikalapudi Srinivasa Rao warned.
