Veteran Kollywood comedian and character artist V Kalidass passed away in Chennai on Thursday, August 12. However, the cause of his death is still not confirmed.
During the 1980s, Kalidass worked in films as a comedian and later went on to essay villainous characters. He is quite popular for his role with Vadivelu in the 2004 film Jananam, starring Arunvijay in the lead role. He became a household name as a villain in the TV show Soolam. He has also dubbed for 3000 films in his career.
Kalidass’ wife Vasantha has breathed her last recently. He has two children, Vijay and Bhargavi. The popular actor’s death has come as a big shock to Kollywood and many in industry are mourning his demise.
