Pala Seshadri, popularly known as Dollar Seshadri, the OSD of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams at Lord Venkateshwara temple in Tirumala died of cardiac arrest here early Monday in Vizag. He was 74.
Dollar Seshadri suffered a stroke early in the morning in Visakhapatnam and breathed his last even as he was being rushed to a hospital. He had gone to Visakhapatnam to participate in Kartika Deepotsavam programme. He complained of chest pain around 4 a.m. and the officials rushed him to Apollo Hospital but he died on the way.
Seshadri's body has been kept at King George Hospital and the officials were making arrangements to shift it to Tirupati, where his last rites will be performed on Tuesday.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed shock and grief over the passing away of TTD OSD P Seshadri. The Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members of Seshadri, who was with TTD since 1978.
