Three dead and four injured in Bengaluru’s Chamarajpet explosion


Three persons died on the spot while four others sustained greivious injuries following a blast at a transport company’s godown around 11.45 am in Bengaluru’s Chamarajpet on Thursday afternoon. The explosion took place in New Tharagupet area of the Karnataka capital.

"The blast took place in a transport godown next to a puncture shop. Three people were killed including two in the puncture shop while four were injured. We have found crackers at the location and have also summoned the bomb disposal units and dog squads to the scene. They will search the area" Deputy Commissioner of Police, Harish Pandey told reporters.

The deceased were identified as Fayaz (50) Manohar (29) and Aslam (45).

Meanwhile, Congress legislator Zameer Ahmed Khan visited the spot and announced ₹2 lakh for the family of the deceased. The leader said he will take care of those who got injured in the explosion.
