Directors Mani Ratnam, Shankar, Gautham Menon, AR Murugadoss, Mysskin, Vasanthabalan, Vettrimaran, Lingusamy, Poo Sasi, Vasanthabalan, Balaji Sakthivel and Lokesh Kanagaraj have joined hands for a joint venture and floated a production house ‘Rain on Films Pvt Ltd’.
The idea behind Rain On Films is to give an opportunity to young filmmakers who are eager to make web series and anthologies amid the OTT boom due to the Covid-19 pandemic. National award-winning director Vetrimaaran’s office will be the hub for Rain On Films.
The first project will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and it would be a feature film. The cast, crew members are yet to be announced for this film. Lokesh Kangaraj will commence the work for this film after he is done with Kamal Haasan’s Vikram.
