Sara Ali Khan releases her Veerangana look from Mission Frontline


The Kedarnath actress took to her Instagram and shared the poster of her upcoming show on Discovery Plus. Sara will be seen in action with the Veerangana Force in Assam for the show.

The official handle of Discovery Plus India dropped the poster on social media. It said, “The Veerangana Force is India's first all-women commando unit and @SaraAliKhan is all set to experience one day like the mighty Veeranganas. #MissionFrontline with Sara Ali Khan on #discoveryplus, premieres on August 13. #SaraAliKhan #Veerangana #SalutingHer #AssamPolice”

The audience will get to see Sara in a never-seen-before avatar performing extreme physical training routines alongside the Veerangana Force, India’s first female commando unit to tackle rising crime against women in the state.

Veerangana Force was launched in November 2012, after a year’s training in Tamil Nadu. They are a group of women commando force of the Assam Police. They have been trained in ‘silent drill’ known only to US marines, martial arts, bike riding, horse riding, use of weapons to take on eve-teasers, or anyone trying to harm women’s modesty. They wear black uniforms and violet caps.

On the work front, Sara Ali Khan is gearing up for the release of Atrangi Re, also starring Akshay Kumar and south superstar Dhanush, it is helmed by Aanand L Rai with music score from A R Rahman.
