Malayalam film producer and celebrity chef Naushad passed away on August 27 at a private hospital in Thiruvalla, Kerala. Naushad was 54 and was undergoing treatment for abdomen-related ailments at various hospitals for the last three years. He is survived by a 13-year old daughter Nashwa.
Noushad has produced the Malayalam films Kaazhcha, Chattambinad, Best Actor, Lion, Payyanas, Spanish Masala. Popularly known as 'Big Chef', Naushad owns a chain of restaurants called Naushad Big Chef (NBC) and catering business.
Soon after his demise, Mollywood celebrities including Mohanlal, Mammootty, Prithviraj Sukumaran and several others took to social media to pay their tribute.
