Senior character artiste Prakash Raj who lost yesterday's MAA elections against Manchu Vishnu met the press today and has taken a bold and firm decision to resign from his primary membership at the Movie Artists Association (MAA).
“I lost the elections because of the campaign that I am not Telugu person. They branded me as non-local. It was painful to hear such comments from the fraternity. Since my fellow actors don’t treat me as one of their own, I should not be a member of MAA. I am denouncing my primary membership,” Prakash Raj declared.
"I will remain as a guest alone and will focus only on my movies. I will continue to act in Telugu films. They bought regional and National politics into the elections. The game has just started now," he added.
