Tollywood King Nagarjuna and his son Naga Chaitanya are acting together for the first second time in ‘Bangarraju’, the sequel to Nagarjuna Akkineni's 2016 supernatural drama, Soggade Chinni Nayana. The film directed by Kalyan Krishna Kurasla is produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna himself under his home banner Annapurna Studios Private Limited.
Bangarraju was launched earlier today in Hyderabad with a pooja ceremony in Annapurna Studios. The muhurat was attended by the cast and crew of the film along with members from Nagarjuna's family. The regular shoot of the film starts next week and the makers are aiming to wrap up the entire proceedings by November to ensure a summer release.
Krithi Shetty will pair opposite Naga Chaitanya. It is unclear whether Ramya Krishna will be returning for the sequel or not. Anup Rubens is on board as the music composer, while Satyanand is providing the story and screenplay for the film.
Nagarjuna has multiple projects in his hands. He has already resumed the shoot of an untitled action drama in the direction of Praveen Sattaru. He will also begin working on ‘Bigg Boss Telugu 5’. Along with these two projects, he also works on ‘Bangarraju’.
