Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu's sister, actor Sudheer Babu's wife Priyadarshini filed a complaint against socialite Shilpa Chowdary with the Narsingi police. Priyadarshini Ghattamaneni filed a complaint against Shilpa Chowdary alleging she cheated Rs 2.9 crores promising in the name of high returns.
Priya said that she came in touch with Shilpa Chowdary through kitty parties and convinced her to invest in the real estate business. Three complaints were filed against Shilpa Chowdary at Narsing police station and police moved a petition in the local court seeking Shilpa Chowdary and her husband into custody.
Shilpa Chowdary collected crores of rupees from several high-profile women on the pretext of investments into real estate business and diverted the funds. It is learned that Shilpa Chowdary transferred Rs 50 crore to Dubai through hawala. The officials also collected details of financial transactions made by Shilpa and obtained details of her bank accounts.
