Indian Trap Shooter Namanveer Brar ends life by suicide

Indian shooter Namanveer Brar, who won a bronze medal at the 2015 World University Games in South Korea, allegedly committed suicide at his residence in Chandigarh on Monday morning.  

The 29-year-old Brar shot himself at his at residence in Chandigarh. The reason behind Brar extreme step is not yet known, family said. The post-mortem was conducted at civil hospital in Phase VI.

Trap shooter Brar had finished fourth in the Minimum Qualification Score (MQS) category of the Delhi Shooting World Cup in March this year. In 2015, he had bagged the bronze in the double-trap shooting event of the World University Games at Gwangju, South Korea.

Police filed case and started investigation.
