A major road accident claimed the lives of five members of the same family. On Tuesday, five people were killed in a car accident in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. The incident occurred near the Hind Hotel on National Highway 2 and was investigated by the Govindpur police station.
The local police team reached the site of the accident and pulled the five people out of the vehicle with the help of locals who had gathered there. However, all five people, including a child and two women, in the car died on the spot.
It is being said that the vehicle, a Swift DZire, was travelling at a high speed and fell into the river hundred feet below the bridge. The car was later pulled out by the authorities.
