In a brutal accident, at least 11 people were killed and seven others were severely injured after a cruiser collided with a truck in Nagaur, Rajasthan on Tuesday morning.
"The injured people have been shifted to a hospital in Nokha, Bikaner," said SHO of Shri Balaji police station, Nagaur.
According to preliminary information, the incident took place around 8.45 am on the bypass of Sribalaji town in Nagaur district. Unfortunately, the cruiser collided heavily with a truck near the bypass of Sribalaji town. The collision was so fierce that the cruiser was reduced to rubble. This left the cruiser's occupants trapped in it. Eight people died on the spot in the accident. The remaining 9 people were seriously injured.
Local police rushed to the spot on information and sent the injured to Nokha Hospital. Three more injured succumbed to their injuries there. The remaining injured were later referred to Bikaner after first aid. The road turned red with blood at the spot after the accident. The deceased are yet to be identified. Police are trying to identify them.
