Tollywood actors including Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja, Rakul Preet Singh, Charmee Kaur, Mumaith Khan and Director Puri Jagannath have been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a four-year-old sensational drugs case.
While Rakul Preet has been summoned on September 6, Rana Daggubati will join the probe on September 8. Ravi Teja and Puri Jagannadh will be questioned on September 9 and 31 respectively. Navdeep on September 13th and Mumaith Khan on Sep 15th. Teja’s driver has also been asked to appear.
ED has also summoned excise department officials, who gave clean chit earlier for the Tollywood celebrities in an earlier drugs case.
The Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department, in 2017, had registered 12 cases after seizing drugs worth Rs 30 lakh. Special Investigation Team (SIT) of excise department gave clean chit and no charge sheet has been filed on celebrities due to lack of evidence after questioning them in July 2017.
