National Award Winning Choreographer K Sivasankar is critically ill with COVID-19. The veteran dance master is currently admitted to AIG hospital and his family is struggling to pay the medical bills for the 72-year-old's treatment. Since his wife and elder son contracted the virus, his younger son Ajay Krishna has been taking care of the family. Ajay Krishna sought financial help from the film industry.
Popular Telugu publicist Vamsi Kaka shared a photo of Sivasankar and revealed that his family is looking for financial help. He wrote: "Noted choreographer Shivashankar Master affected with COVID-19 and now in critical condition. Due to expensive treatment the family is unable to pay the bills. Please help."
Actor Sonusood replied to Vamsi's tweet and wrote that he is already in touch with his family. He wrote, "I am already in touch with the family, will try my best to save his life (sic)." At the latest, hero Dhanush came forward and provided financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh for Sivasankar medical expenses.
