Popular Tamil actor, comedian Vivek passed away at 4.35 am this morning after suffering from cardiac arrest. He is survived by his wife Arulselvi and two daughters. Padma Shri recipient, actor Vivek has worked with megastars Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith Kumar, Vikram and Suriya. Vivek has acted in films like Run, Sami, Perzagan, Annaruge Naan Irundhal, Parthiban Kanavu, Annian and Shivaji to name a few.
Celebrities including AR Rahman, Samantha, Genelia Deshmukh and several others paid last respects to Vivekh on social media.
Rajinikanth tweeted "I am deeply saddened by the demise of Chinna Kalaivanar, social activist and my dear friend Vivek. I can never forget the days I spent with him during the shooting of 'Sivaji'. My heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family and pray for his soul to rest in peace".
AR Rahman wrote, "@Actor_Vivek can’t believe you’ve left us ..May you rest in peace ..you’ve entertained us for decades ..your legacy will stay with us (sic)."
