Actor-director Cheran injured, receives eight stitches on head


National Award winner director Cheran suffered a head injury while shooting for his upcoming film 'Anandham Vilayadum Veedu' in Dindigul on Thursday. Visuals shared by TV channels show the actor-director in a blue shirt and white veshti losing his balance and falling from a height.

Film crew reported that Cheran was taken to hospital as he suffered a serious injury on his head. The doctors had put eight stitches on his head. However, the film crew said that Cheran continued to perform his scenes without cancelling the shooting. The crew of the film has returned to Chennai following the accident.

Anandham Vilayadum Veedu was directed by 'Maathi Yosi' and 'Oru Kalluriyin Kathai' -fame director Nandha Periyasamy. The film which also stars Gautham Karthick is touted to be a family drama and a house plays an important role in this film. Shivathmika Rajashekar is roped in to play the lead opposite Gautham Karthick. Saravanan, Motta Rajendran, Venba, Daniel Balaji, Kizhakku Cheemaiyile fame Vignesh, Singam Puli, Kumki Jommalloori, Lyricist Snegan, Namo Narayanan, Soundarajan, Mounicka, Maina, Paruthiveeran fame Sujatha, Priyanka, Nakkalite Dhanam and many others are part of the cast.
