Actress Anjali, who will be seen playing one of the key roles in Pawan Kalyan's upcoming release Vakeel Saab, has tested positive for Covid-19.
A source close to the actor confirmed the news and said, "It's true that Anjali has infected by Covid-19. She isolated herself and is now under home quarantine from yesterday. She is taking medication prescribed by her doctor and is recovering well."
After Nivetha Thomas, who tested positive earlier this week ahead of the film's pre-release event, Anjali is the second actor from the film unit to contract the virus.
Directed by Sriram Venu, Vakeel Saab is the remake of the Hindi courtroom drama Pink. The film also features Ananya Nagalla and Shruti Hassan in pivotal roles. Produced by Dil Raju, the film is slated to release on April 9 with the USA premieres starting later tonight.
