Fifteen people sustained injuries after a private travels' bus in which they were traveling overturned on Vijayawada and Hyderabad highway in the early hours of Wednesday. Emergency services were rushed to the spot and the trapped persons were rescued and shifted to Kodad government hospital.
The bus belongs to Sri Krishna Travels was transporting passengers from Hyderabad to Kakinada. When the mishap took place at Akupamula in Munagala mandal in Suryapet district, 32 passengers were inside the bus.
Munagala SI Srinivasulu said that over speeding is the reason for the road accident. However, bus driver blamed the lorry coming in opposite direction for the mishap.
