Late SP Jhananathan directed Laabam starring Vijay Sethupathi, Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi in lead roles gets release date. Vijay Sethupathi took to Twitter to announce that the film is set to hit screens on September 9, while sharing a new poster.
Laabam, which marks the second collaboration with Jhananathan and Vijay Sethupathi after the 2015 release Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai, also features Sai Dhanshika, Kalaiyarasan, Ramesh Thilak, and Prithivi Rajan in supporting roles. The film, which has the tagline 'day light robbery', has music by D Imman and cinematography by Ramji.
The film is a co-production between Vijay Sethupathi Productions and 7C's Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
