Actor Pracheen Chauhan, who rose to fame for his act in popular sitcom "Kasauti Zindagi Kay', was arrested by Mumbai Police on Saturday for allegedly molesting a girl. An FIR was lodged against Pracheen under sections 354 of the Indian Penal Code which deals with assault or use of criminal force on woman, intending to outrage her modesty. A case under sections 354, 323, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered.
According to police, the woman approached them and lodged a complaint against Chauhan that he molested her in an inebriated state. Police officers said that they arrested Chauhan from his house under sections 354 of the Indian Penal Code (assaults or use of criminal force on woman, intending to outrage her modesty). The police will present the actor before the holiday court on Saturday.
Pracheen proved his mettle as an actor with his act in television shows including Kasautii Zindagii Kay season 1, Ssshhhh… Koi Hai, Kyun Hota Hai Pyarr, Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat, Sindoor Tere Naam Ka, Yeh Hai Aashiqui, and Laal Ishq among others. He was recently seen in the web series Pyar Ka Punch.
