In a major jolt to Jana sena Party, Former minister Ravela Kishore Babu who contested as MLA candidate on Janasena ticket from Prathipadu, has resigned from the party.

Ravela who was the Minister in Chandrababu Naidu government has joined Janasena before the elections. In recent elections, Ravela Kishore Babu contested as Janasena MLA candidate from Prathipadu Assembly constituency and lost to his rival YSRCP candidate Mekathoti Sucharitha. In his resignation letter, Ravela Kishore Babu mentioned that he is quitting the party due to his personal problems.

If rumours doing the rounds are to be believed, Ravela is all set to join in BJP. He is already in touch with BJP high command and sources reveal that he is expected to join in BJP on June 23rd or 27th.

Janasena party founded by actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan suffered humiliating defeat in the recently held assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, winning just one MLA seat.  Pawan Kalyan was defeated in both Gajuwaka and Bhimavaram constituencies leaving his fans in huge disappointment.

The party lost a key leader, Addepalli Sreedhar who served as the official spokesperson recently. Now, Ravela Kishore Babu resigned from the party. Ravela is considered to be one of the strong financiers of Janasena and his departure might affect the party’s prospects.
