Tamil Nadu Milk and Dairy Development Minister and senior AIADMK leader KT Rajenthra Bhalaji on Monday said that Kamal Haasan's tongue should be cut off for Hindu Terrorist remark on Nathuram Godse. Bhalaji accused Haasan of "acting" to garner minority votes and he also sought a ban on MNM for "sowing violence" and demanded that the Election Commission of India act against Haasan.

"His tongue should be cut of..he has said (free India's first extremist) was a Hindu. Extremism has no religion, neither Hindu nor Muslim nor Christian. He made these remarks to gain votes of minorities. We can't blame entire community for act of one individual. EC should take action against the actor and ban his party”. Bhalaji had said.

Kamal Haasan while campaigning for his party’s candidate in Tamil Nadu's Aravakurichi ahead of the by elections on the four remaining assembly seats in the state, said Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse, “India’s first terrorist was a Hindu” raising a furore.

"I'm not saying this because this is a Muslim dominated area. I'm telling this because it's in front of the Gandhi statue. Independent India's first terrorist was a Hindu. His name was Nathuram Godse. It starts from there. I'm Gandhi's great grandson," Haasan said.

The BJP moved the EC against demanding an action against Haasan alleging that the latter is appeasing minorities to gain votes.
