Vikram begins shoot for Mahavir Karna in Hyderabad

Chiyaan Vikram's new Tamil-Hindi bilingual film 'Mahavir Karna' directed by RS Vimal went on floors in Hyderabad yesterday.  Touted to be a period drama, the movie is being made on a whopping budget of 300 crores.  The team is currently shooting the epic Kurukshetra battle sequence at the Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad with thousands of stuntmen and junior artistes. 

Vikram, who recently wrapped up shoot for Kadaram Kondaan plays the lead character in the movie. Besides Vikram, actors from Bollywood and technicians from Hollywood will collaborate for the project. The film will be bankrolled by the New York-based production house United Film Kingdom. The movie is going to get dubbed in 32 Indian and international languages and will get a massive worldwide release. 

Speaking about the film, Vimal says, “Mahavir Karna was supposed to be a small project in Malayalam, but the new one will be entirely different. I have decided to make this movie in an international sphere after considering the interest of the producer.”
