Rocking Star Yash's fan ends life by setting himself ablaze
11 January, 2019
In a rather shocking incident, a crazy fan of Rocking Star Yash committed suicide by setting himself on fire outside the actor's house as he was unable to meet the actor and click a selfie with him on his birthday. The deceased has been identified as Ravi Raghuram, a garment factory employee from Laggere.

Yash, who grabbed national headlines with his recent release KGF, turned 33 on January 8. Yash who has a massive fan following in Karnataka meets and greets his fans who come to his house every year on the day of his birthday. However, the superstar decided not to celebrate his birthday as tribute to the death of veteran Kannada actor Ambreesh. This didn’t go down well with the fan who was present to click a selfie with him.

The 26-year-old fan Ravi Raghuram was outside Yash’s home at Hoskerehalli, but was extremely disappointed when he found out that the actor was not in town. Ravi poured petrol and set himself on fire outside the actor’s house. As per the media reports, he suffered 70% burns and was immediately taken to Victoria Hospital by the security staff. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.

Learning about the horrific incident, Yash visited the hospital and said, “I do not want fans like this, this is not fandom or love, this does not bring me happiness. I will not come to see anybody else like this again, it will give the wrong message to fans who think that I will come and meet them (if they take drastic steps like this)."

Revealing about Ravi’s crazy for Yash, his father told the reporters, “Ravi goes every year to meet Yash. Last year he had taken us to his house as well. This year, we had told him not to go, but he persisted. Do not know where Ravi got the petrol from”.
