Senior Congress leader and Former Anakapalli MP Sabbam Hari is all set to shift his loyalties to Telugu Desam Party. As per reports, Hari is planning to join the ruling party in the presence of AP CM Chandrababu Naidu very soon.

According to sources, Sabbam had a one-and-half hour long meeting with TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his Vundavalli residence on the night of January 1 to extend New Year Day wishes. During the brief meeting, Sabbam expressed his desire to join the TDP and the chief minister welcomed him.

It is learnt Sabbam asked for the TDP ticket to contest from Visakhapatnam parliamentary constituency. Sources said Naidu did not give any commitment to Sabbam for the MP seat, but responded positively to the party ticket for assembly elections from Visakhapatnam (East) constituency.

In a recent media interaction, Hari expressed confidence that TDP will emerge victorious in upcoming general elections with thumping majority. Hari explained that no one can stop Chandrababu's victory in AP with their coups, by expressing that the intellectuals, people from middle and upper middle class want to vote Chandrababu again, as they are impressed with Chandrababu's welfare in the state.

Earlier reports emerged that, Sabbam will join hands with YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, because of his loyalty to the latter’s father Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. But somehow, Jagan did not entertain him.
