"I will have to wind up to be effective as a politician...You have to dedicate time totally (for politics). But I will have my production company continuing in the field. Somebody else will run it," the 64-year-old actor-politician added.

Indian 2, the sequel to the hit 1996 Tamil film Indian, will be produced by Lyca Productions with lavish budget.  Haasan will be reprising his role as Senapathy in the sequel which mark the reunion of Shankar and Haasan after a span of two decades.

It is confirmed that Indian 2 will have Kajal Aggarwal in the lead female role. Other than Kamal Haasan, the film will also star another young hero in a pivotal role. Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music.
