Bollywood Baadshah Shahrukh Khan's upcoming film ‘Zero’ under Anand L Rai direction is racing at rapid pace. Anushka Sharama and Katrina Kaif are playing female lead roles in Zero in which the actor is playing the dwarf role. Katrina will play actress in the film while Anushka will be seen portraying a mentally-challenged girl. After Zero, Shahrukh will start shooting for Mahesh Mathai film "Salute", a biopic on the first Indian astronaut Captain Rakesh Sharma. Siddharth Roy Kapur is the producer.

Now the buzz says that SRK will take a three-month long gap to prep for 'Salute'. SRK will wrap Zero by April end, after which he will be busy for the next three months prepping up for his role of an astronaut. A source close to the star revealed that he will be doing his own research with his team and studying the nuances to play the astronaut, which is why he’s taken a three-month break in between to devote himself to the biopic.

Reports suggest that Khan will start shooting for 'Salute' in September and continue till November, take a break for Zero promotions and then resume the shoot of 'Salute' in January 2019.

Shahrukh played a NASA engineer in Ashutosh Gowariker’s acclaimed film Swades.
